We live in a culture that admires a man’s self-sufficiency, his earning power, his fertility, and his ability to rule his domain. And while Scripture clearly calls for men to lead, protect, and provide, the Bible takes a wrecking ball to our culture’s ideas of what a man truly is.
So what does biblical masculinity look like? Biblical masculinity is the humble and glad acceptance of the responsibilities God has given to men through his Word. It’s masculinity that emerges from the gospel, celebrates the gospel, and points back to the gospel.
