1 Corinthians 12-14

Now Concerning Spiritual Gifts: Even though the Corinthian church was abusing the spiritual gifts, the Apostle Paul never tells them to cease exercising them. Instead he says, “Earnestly desire the spiritual gifts” and for three chapters (12-14) in 1 Corinthians he adjusts their understanding and practice of the gifts. And we receive invaluable teaching about the nature, purpose, and appropriate use of the spiritual gifts in the local church.
