Resolved

The singles of Sovereign Grace Church are Resolved to know nothing but Christ and him Crucified (1 Corinthians 2:2). The glorious truth of Jesus life, death, and resurrection shapes all that we are and all that we do. God does not intend for singleness to be lived out as a time of waiting or spiritual passivity. Rather, he has called us to delight in, to declare, and to display the gospel of Jesus Christ through the local church.

We’re students and professionals, single moms and single dads, teachers, metal workers, and artists who have been radically changed by Jesus. While we enjoy rich fellowship with other members of the church through our small group ministry, we also benefit from biblical fellowship with others in our same season of life. Our prayer is to live for Christ together and grow as a community of gospel-centered men and women in the context of the local church.

Resolved: Book Study

To find our resolve to live for Christ, to delight in his goodness and display his gospel, we must be under the faithful direction of the Word of God. Resolved: Book Studies are meetings where we gather to study great resources that will help build our resolve to live for Jesus Christ. Meetings are hosted once a month on the third Friday in various homes of members.

Resolved: Service/Outreach

Because we have first been served by Jesus Christ, it is our delight to display to those around us the joy we have in Christ. We serve the church and our community through service projects, community outreach, and evangelism.

Resolved: Food, Fellowship, and Fun

There is joy in Christ and we celebrate that joy in relationship with one another. Throughout the year we delight in God and declare his gospel together not only through study and serving, but through enjoying the fellowship of one another and our unbelieving friends. Holiday outings, Twins games, summer BBQ’s – we create context to have fun and invite our unbelieving friends into the joy we have in Christ.
