Committing yourself to a body of believers is weighty but it’s also wonderful.
What Does It Mean to Be a Member of Sovereign Grace Church?
If a church requires nothing of you as a member and commits nothing to you as a church, it is practicing meaningless membership. When members join Sovereign Grace Church, they commit to a spiritual family that provides encouragement and support. They are called to responsibility, service, and sacrifice to their brothers and sisters. Our elders and leaders also pledge to assist our members with care, counsel, prayer, and teaching.
Foundations Membership Class
Before you make a decision to join the church, we want you to know exactly what that means and what will be required of you. To accomplish this, we offer a class that covers what it means to be a member, as well as our mission, basic beliefs, and theological distinctives.
The Foundations class meets several times during the year on Sundays. Held over four consecutive weeks, each meeting consists of teaching followed by time for questions and discussion with a pastor. Coffee and light refreshments, as well as childcare, will be provided.
