Summer is a great time to get outside and enjoy fun and fellowship with one another. Aaron and Charisia Bowen have graciously offered to spearhead two ways to do just that:

  1. Every Thursday beginning June 21 until August 29 anyone is welcome to come at 10 a.m. to Kenneth Rosland Park (4300 West 66th Street, Edina, MN 55435 – map here). The park has a playground, disc golf, a volleyball court, field for playing whatever, dock for fishing, and a water park (this does cost money). There is something for all ages! This would be a great opportunity to fellowship and encourage one another in parenting as well as reach out to unbelievers. For questions please contact Charisia.
  2. On August 30 to September 1 we’ll be heading to Lake Wissota State Park in Wisconsin. It is a group campsite that can accommodate up to 100 people (tent camping only). We can check in at 3 p.m. on Thursday and need to vacate by 3 p.m. on Saturday. The plan is to have everyone bring and prepare their own meals due to a wide range of food allergies in the church. It would be welcomed if anyone wants to bring desserts or sides to share during meal times. The cost will be $5 per person (adults and kids are included in this cost) for both nights. We are working to find out if infants are included in the 100 person count. If you are interested in going, please let the Bowens know by signing up here. Registration closes on 8/27.
