Serving in Children’s Ministry

We’re beginning the fall planning process for Children’s Ministry and need your help to serve the kids of our church.

There are many opportunities to serve our children. We’ve listed just a few of them below. If you are interested in serving, please complete the online application. A background check is required for all positions with the exception of minors. If we do not have a background check on file for you within the last three years, we will be in touch.

Children’s Ministry volunteers receive training  (our first training meeting is September 6 from 8:30 – 11:30am) and serve from September through August. We ask that one parent from each family with children participating in children’s ministry would serve.

Serving Opportunities:

  • Team Leads oversee a Sunday morning team of CM volunteers by assisting with schedule reminders, curriculum preparation, and policy/procedures implementation.
  • Classroom Teachers engage kids and families with Christ’s love and creatively communicate Bible truth by overseeing one classroom (Nursery, Preschool, or Elementary).
  • Classroom Helpers assist the teachers with leading the class (Nursery, Preschool, or Elementary) by actively engaging the kids with Christ’s love.
  • Minor Volunteers (ages 12 – 18) partner together with the teachers and helpers to serve the kids. Minor helpers see this position as an opportunity to serve through active engagement in the class by modeling good behavior, playing games, and serving with setup and teardown. Online Application for Minor Volunteer
  • Security Personnel monitor the check in and check out procedures of the children’s ministry area to provide a safe and secure environment for the children and volunteers.
