- Pray for Rick Gamache as he prepares to preach, this Sunday, Lord willing.
- Pray for this Sunday’s worship leader, Tom Fluharty, as well as the worship team.
- Pray for all those serving in Discovery Kingdom and on the welcome team as well.

Church Camping
When was the last time you… gazed at the night sky counting the stars… tasted the gooey goodness of a fresh S’more…. dozed lazily in a hammock… played capture the flag, kickball, or flash light tag… strummed a guitar around the campfire… cast a line into a Minnesota lake… or were all together in one central location with your super awesome friends from church….???
If this sounds like fun to you and just the thing that’s missing in your summer, sign up below (or click here) for the church camping trip. July 18–20, in nearby Carver, Minnesota. More details will be coming soon. Everyone is welcome, so spread the word! Contact Eric & Becca Patenaude with questions.

Sioux Falls Church Plant
“Uncertain seasons are often some of the most powerful moments we experience with God in this age.” (from Not By Sight by Jon Bloom)
I believe that is a true statement. In hindsight, we, who love him and are called by him (Romans 8:28), look back at the chapters of our lives when we felt most helpless, most alone, most confused, and recognize that God, all along, was fully and wisely and lovingly engaged for the sake of our good. Those are sweet moments.
The past twelve months have been an “uncertain season” for our family. Many twists and unexpected turns. But now, as many of you heard this past Sunday, God’s cloud of joy has apparently settled over the city of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Laurie and I have received approval from Sovereign Grace Ministries to return to the community we left two years ago in order to plant a Sovereign Grace church. Wow.
I will conclude my church-planting residency here at Sovereign Grace Church of Bloomington on June 30. Laurie will complete her teaching contract with the Rosemount/Apple Valley school district on July 3. Our sons have already moved back to Sioux Falls in order to find work and to care for our house. We expect to have our “feet on the ground” in Sioux Falls sometime by mid-July.
With the Lord, our lives, as mundane or disoriented, as they may sometimes seem, are never static. Therefore, from our experience, going “back” to a place and a people is not always easy. Our respective “seasons” apart have meant we have all been shaped, adjusted, and changed by the Lord. “Going back” can feel like trying to put on your “junior high clothes.” Things don’t fit like they used to. Transition requires understanding, endurance, long-suffering, and faith. But the Lord has been and is working for our good. Because of His work, praise God, we have grown.
Please pray for us as we move, re-settle, re-connect, and start over in a place and among a people that once was familiar. We anticipate many more growth-producing “uncertainties” in the chapter ahead.
Ask God to provide:
- Hearts eager to engage with new rhythms, relationships, and roles.
- Grace to bear-up under the pressures and stresses of moving.
- A job for Laurie.
- Joy and peace and an abundance of the fruit of the Spirit.
- Wisdom for every decision.
- Love for the gospel and the people He has called us to serve.
- A powerful experience with Him in this season filled with uncertainties.
Grateful for your prayer – the Dirnbergers
Walk for Life – Last Call
The Walk for Life to support Amnion Crisis Pregnancy Center is THIS Saturday! If you have not sponsored someone yet or want to do more please consider doing so now. It’s also not too late to sign up to walk and get some sponsors or sponsor yourself.
We have raised $6,672.43 as of 8 PM Tuesday! Praise the Lord!!! With the match that puts us over $11,6672! Last year our SGC team raised $7,363. I’d love to see our pre-match total meet or exceed that amount. What a gift that would be to this amazing ministry and the families they care for.
You can sponsor or sign up here.
I hope to see you Saturday morning at 8:30 AM at Faith Covenant Church in Burnsville.
