Rick Gamache, Senior Pastor

Rick Gamache serves as the senior pastor of Sovereign Grace Church. His primary responsibilities are to provide vision and direction for the church through preaching God’s Word and leadership of the pastoral team in fulfilling our mission to “make disciples who delight in, declare, and display the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ.”

Rick was born and raised in the Chicago area (Da Sox! Da Bears! Da Bulls!) and moved to Minnesota in 1987 to attend college, where he met his beautiful wife Delaine. He graduated from Bethel Seminary in 1995 and joined the staff at Desiring God. He was sent out to what was then Grace Church Richfield from Bethlehem Baptist Church in April 2000. In March 2003 what is now Sovereign Grace Church joined the Sovereign Grace Ministries family.

Rick and Delaine live in Minneapolis and have five children: Brontë, Thaxton, Cosette, Yari, and Haddon.

Jon Hansel, Pastor

Jon Hansel serves as an associate pastor of Sovereign Grace Church with a primary focus on community and care in the life of the church. He oversees the small group, counseling, youth, and singles ministries of the church.

Jon was born and raised in San Diego, CA and moved to Minnesota to attend Northwestern College. He holds Certificates of Biblical Counseling from the Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation (CCEF) and is a member of the Association of Biblical Counselors. Through Sovereign Grace Church’s Entrust and Prepare pastoral leadership training program, Jon’s sense of calling to pastoral ministry was assessed and developed by the pastoral team of Sovereign Grace Church. Jon joined the pastoral team in July 2010 and was ordained to ministry in April 2013.

Jon and his wife Tonya live in Burnsville and have four children: Vaunder, Russell, Owen and Addison.
